The front is fitted with five spacious drawers which open to reveal very clean interiors. The chest is very well made from solid oak and mixed woods and is solid and heavy. When we found it the outdated finish was very dark and marked, this has been stripped away to reveal the natural oak before being waxed for a smooth finish.
